Which Motul Motorcycle Oil Should I Choose?
Choosing the right Motul motorcycle oil starts with two things: how you ride and the oil viscosity recommended by your motorcycle manufacturer. The first number followed by “W” indicates how easily the oil flows when the engine is cold. The lower the number, the more easily the oil flows during cold starts. A lower “W” rating can be beneficial when riding in colder temperatures or when faster oil circulation at startup is desired.
The second number after the “-” describes the oil's viscosity at operating temperature. The higher the number, the thicker the oil remains as temperatures rise. A higher second number may be appropriate when riding in hotter temperatures or when the engine is subjected to sustained high loads and heat.
